Intro to Fly fishing course
$150 – 4 hour course with 4 anglers per class.
There are two courses available that typically run on Sundays 101 in the am (9:00 -1:30) and 201 in the pm (2:30 – 7:00). If you have a group of four we can book a weekday class.
Fly Fishing 101

Rods, Reels, Lines, Leaders, Flies and Waders are provided courtesy of Grand River Outfitting and Fly Shops and Guidline Fly Fishing but you are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you would like!
Fly Fishing 201

One on One guide

Fly Tying Lessons
$150 for 3 hr session (plus materials for advanced lessons)

From mastering classic patterns like the wooly bugger and pheasant tail to tackling more advanced techniques like spinning deer hair and crafting large dubbing loop streamers, we’ve got you covered.

- Managing weight (wraps and beads)
- How to get better proportions
- Why we tie things in the way we do
- Working with hearl
- Working with dubbing noodles and loops
- Working with wire and tinsel rib
- Working with biots
- Working with furs and hairs
- Tailing, hackle, flanks and marabou.
Fly Tying – Advanced – Streamers
- Tie with deer hair (muddlers, dungeons, mice, etc)
- Tie with synthetics (Fibres and Craft Furs)
- Using Flash to create textures
- Large loops
- Articulation
Live 2 Fish guide service is insured by HUB Insurance, Daniel is certified and trained in First Aid. It is required to complete a waiver prior to the course/guide trip begins. It can be emailed and filled out before you arrive or available to be filled out the day of the event.
